Hyundai Motor Company has released the teaser images of a new concept car that will make its global debut at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Germany, scheduled for September 9–14, 2025. The images mark the start of a phased reveal campaign, with two additional sets of teasers expected before the event.

Likely Preview of Ioniq 2

Reports suggest the concept could preview a small electric hatchback positioned as the entry model in Hyundai’s Ioniq lineup. The production version may adopt the name Ioniq 2 and is expected to be placed above the recently launched Hyundai Inster.

Design Details from Teasers

The early images indicate a hatchback body style with a rear duck spoiler. Full-width LED light bars for both front and rear, flared wheel arches and sporty air intake designs can also be seen.

Possible Specifications

While Hyundai has not disclosed technical details, the concept is likely to share its platform with the Kia EV2 and EV3 models, using the E-GMP architecture. Market expectations suggest a single electric motor with a 58.3 kWh battery pack, producing around 201 bhp.

Public Debut at Munich

The concept will be displayed at Hyundai’s outdoor booth on Ludwigstraße 14 in Munich during IAA Mobility 2025. Visitors will be able to see the car in person before Hyundai confirms its future production plans. A market launch of the production model is expected in 2026.
