Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept Teased, Hints at Electric Stinger Replacement

Kia has unveiled a teaser for the Vision Meta Turismo, a new coupe-style concept car that emphasizes the brand's future electric and software innovations. This vehicle may serve as a potential successor to the discontinued Stinger, featuring a sleek, aerodynamic design with a cab-forward shape, a sloping roofline and advanced lighting.

Kia Vision Meta Turismo Concept Teased

Kia released a teaser of a new coupe-style concept called the Vision Meta Turismo. The vehicle is expected to showcase the brand’s future electric and software-based vehicle technologies. The concept may also hint at a next-generation replacement for the discontinued Kia Stinger, which was sold globally until 2023.

Design and Body Style

The teaser shows a low-slung coupe-like sedan with a cab-forward design, short bonnet and a sloping roofline extending to the rear. The car features a wide glass area with a large front and rear windshield. Traditional side mirrors are absent and camera-based units appear to be mounted on the front fenders.
Slim LED lighting is visible at the front, while the rear has inverted L-shaped tail lamps and an integrated spoiler. The design suggests a strong focus on aerodynamics rather than conventional sedan proportions.

Electric Powertrain Likely

The overall shape and short front overhang indicate that the vehicle is likely built as a fully electric model. Kia has not confirmed whether the concept uses the existing E-GMP platform or a new EV architecture. No performance figures or battery details have been shared.

Possible SDV Pace Car Role

The Vision Meta Turismo could also be linked to Kia’s Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Pace Car, which was announced earlier at the company’s CEO Investor Day. Kia plans to use this vehicle as a technology demonstration model for future connected and automated driving features.
The company has stated that Level 2+ driver assistance systems will begin entering production vehicles from 2027. This concept is expected to preview those systems ahead of their market launch.

Difference From the Original Stinger

Unlike the original Stinger, which had a traditional four-door sports sedan layout, the new concept uses a coupe-inspired roofline and a more compact front structure. The body also features sculpted wheel arches, large rear haunches and airflow channels designed to manage air movement around the vehicle.

Lighting and Camera Systems

The concept uses LED light strips along the front fenders, roofline, rear windshield and bumper. Rear-view cameras replace conventional outside mirrors, indicating a possible shift toward camera-based visibility systems in future Kia models.
