KTM 160 Duke Launched With TFT Display in India, Priced at Rs 1.78 Lakh

KTM has introduced a new variant of the 160 Duke equipped with a 5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster. The motorcycle continues to be sold alongside the standard LCD-equipped version. The TFT-equipped KTM 160 Duke is priced at Rs 1,78,536 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The existing variant remains on sale at Rs 1,70,545 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

New TFT Instrument Cluster

The main change in the new variant is the addition of a 5-inch bonded glass TFT display. This unit is shared with the latest KTM 390 Duke and replaces the earlier LCD screen.
A revised switchgear with a four-way menu selector allows riders to navigate through menus and settings. The display supports multiple layout options and theme changes based on riding preferences.

Connected Features

When paired with the KTM My Ride smartphone application via Bluetooth, the TFT display enables basic connectivity functions. These include:
  • Turn-by-turn navigation display
  • Call alerts with accept or reject options
  • Music control when used with a compatible Bluetooth helmet headset
For safety reasons, outgoing calls and contact browsing are disabled while the motorcycle is in motion.

Rider Settings and Safety Features

The TFT interface allows access to Supermoto ABS mode, which deactivates rear-wheel ABS while keeping front ABS active. This setting is intended for controlled riding conditions.
Riders can also adjust shift RPM and limit RPM indicators through the display. The screen automatically switches between dark and orange colour themes based on selected settings.

KTM 160 Duke TFT: Engine and Hardware

The KTM 160 Duke continues to use the same 164.2 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that pushes out 18.7bhp at 9,500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 15.5Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is built around a split trellis frame and follows a naked streetfighter body style. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks with 138.2 mm of travel and a rear monoshock offering 160.98 mm of travel. Braking hardware includes a front disc brake with a radial-mounted caliper and a rear disc brake with a floating caliper. The bike is equipped with rider aids such as Off-Road ABS, Supermoto mode and navigation support through the TFT display.
