The local production of the Defender 110 is part of JLR’s Reimagine strategy and reflects the company’s continued focus on the Indian market. According to JLR, local manufacturing is expected to reduce waiting periods and improve accessibility for customers without compromising the SUV’s global engineering and durability standards.
Production for international markets will continue at JLR’s facility in Nitra, Slovakia. The plant will continue to manufacture global Defender variants, including the Defender 90, Defender 130 and the high-performance Defender OCTA.
