Mahindra Opens Its Next-Gen India Design Studio In Mumbai

Mahindra has shared that it has opened an expanded version of its Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai today. The information shared by the company states that this facility will support the company’s Auto, Farm and Last Mile Mobility (LMM) operations.

The information shared by the company states that MIDS was initially set up back in 2015. This new setup has expanded its physical area and it also gets additional equipment along with designing tools.

The company has outlined that this new facility has been set up with the aim to function in coordination with Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) which is based in the United Kingdom (UK).

The company states that this new studio will be utilized for design work related to its existing and future product range. Also this new space is to be used for both digital and physical design activities for the company, while also serving as a base to to recruit and train personnel in related functions.

Ajay Saran Sharma, Sr. Vice President of Design and Head MIDS said, “It is a pleasure to have this new avatar of Mahindra India Design Studio commissioned. The footprint of the space stands doubled to take on and deliver the ever-expanding project portfolio across businesses. End-to-end delivery on projects, from the first concept sketch through to production stands further strengthened with the new working structure that along with the classic design verticals includes new functions such as HMI Design, Design Quality & Realisation”.
