Mahindra Posts Over 7 Percent Growth in Monthly Car Sales for April 2026

Indian automaker Mahindra has shared its passenger vehicle sales data for April 2026. Riding high on the success of its SUV range in the country, Mahindra has posted an impressive growth of over 5 percent by selling over fifty six thousand units of passenger vehicles in the domestic market. The growth in domestic sales last month has accounted for the overall sales increase for Mahindra last month.

Last month Mahindra managed to sell a total of 57,833 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure indicates a growth in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 2,973 units which further translates into 5.41 percent increase in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In April 2025 Mahindra posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 54,869 units.

In April 2026 Mahindra managed to sell 56,331 units of passenger vehicles in the domestic market. This sales figure indicates a year-on-year growth in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 4,001 units which further translates into 7.6 percent rise in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In April 2025 Mahindra posted a domestic passenger vehicle sales of 52,330 units.

In April 2026 Mahindra exported 1,502 units of passenger vehicles from India. This indicates a year-on-year fall in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 1,028 units which further translates into a 40.36 percent decline in year-on-year monthly passenger vehicle exports. In April 2025 Mahindra exported 2,530 units of passenger vehicles.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “The year 2027 has begun on a positive note in April by achieving SUV sales of 56331 units, a growth of 8% and total vehicle sales of 94627 units, a 14% growth over the same month last year.”
