The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be available with three engine configurations: 144 bhp, 171 bhp, and 181 bhp. The 144 bhp and 171 bhp versions are equipped with a two-wheel drive (2WD) system and produce 189 Nm of torque. The 181 bhp variant offers a four-wheel drive (4WD) option and produces 300 Nm of torque, making it suitable for enhanced off-road capabilities.
The AllGrip-e technology in the e Vitara features an electric four-wheel drive system with two independent eAxles at the front and rear. This system includes a trail mode that helps navigate rough terrains by applying brakes to spinning tires and distributing torque to the opposite wheel, ensuring improved control and traction during off-road conditions.
The e Vitara comes equipped with several advanced safety features, including a Level 2 assisted driver assistance system (ADAS), seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. It also features automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist, contributing to its high safety ratings.
Maruti Suzuki has developed over 2,000 fast charging points across more than 1,100 cities in India, with plans to expand this network to over 100,000 public chargers by 2030. The charging services will be accessible through the 'e for me' mobile app, enhancing the convenience for e Vitara owners.
The e Vitara features a modern, tech-focused interior design, including a floating dual-screen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. It also has a unique twin-spoke polygonal steering wheel, a floating center console with USB charging, and rear seats with a 20:40:20 split configuration that allows for reclining and sliding functionalities.
