Moto Morini Camel Unveiled at EICMA 2026: Gets 670cc Engine, 250mm Suspension Travel
Moto Morini has brought back one of its familiar motorcycle names from the 1980s with the unveiling of the new Camel at EICMA 2026. The latest model has been developed as an adventure motorcycle with a strong focus on off-road riding. It gets a 670cc parallel-twin engine, long-travel suspension, a 21-inch front wheel and substantial ground clearance, making it a more off-road-focused offering than the brand's existing X-Cape adventure range.
Key Highlights:
- Moto Morini has unveiled the new Camel adventure motorcycle at EICMA 2026.
- It gets a 670cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 81bhp and 70Nm.
- The motorcycle features 250mm suspension travel at both ends and 280mm ground clearance.
- It comes with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, switchable ABS and a 20-litre fuel tank.
The new Camel combines retro-inspired styling with modern mechanical and electronic features. While the original motorcycle was associated with the growing popularity of adventure riding in the early 1980s, the latest version aims to carry forward that legacy with updated hardware and technology.
Moto Morini Camel: Design and Styling
The new Moto Morini Camel draws inspiration from the original motorcycle through its sand-coloured bodywork, black panels and relatively simple design. At the front, it features a tall windscreen and an angular LED headlamp. The sculpted fuel tank, two-piece seat and exposed rear subframe further add to its adventure-focused appearance.
The motorcycle also gets a rear luggage rack, suggesting that it has been designed with long-distance touring and exploration in mind.
Moto Morini Camel: Engine and Performance
Powering the new Camel is a 670cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 81bhp at 10,000rpm and 70Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. This setup is expected to offer sufficient performance for highway cruising as well as demanding off-road conditions.
The engine is housed in a chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame, paired with a single-piece aluminium swingarm. The motorcycle also gets fully adjustable suspension, allowing riders to adjust preload, compression and rebound damping according to riding conditions.
At the front, it gets a 48mm upside-down fork with 250mm of travel. The rear suspension uses a progressive linkage-type monoshock, which also offers 250mm of wheel travel.
Moto Morini Camel: Off-Road Hardware and Features
The Camel gets a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheel combination, which is commonly used on off-road-focused adventure motorcycles. Both wheels are equipped with tubeless tyres, making puncture repairs easier. Braking duties are handled by Brembo components, including twin 300mm discs at the front and a 255mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets switchable ABS, allowing riders to modify braking assistance for off-road conditions.
Other electronic features include ride-by-wire throttle control, multiple riding modes and multi-level adjustable traction control. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity and navigation support through the Moto Morini smartphone application.
Moto Morini Camel: Ground Clearance, Weight and Fuel Tank
One of the major highlights of the new Moto Morini Camel is its 280mm ground clearance. This should help the motorcycle tackle rocky trails, deep ruts and uneven surfaces with a lower risk of its underbody hitting obstacles.
However, the tall setup also results in an 850mm seat height, which could make it challenging for shorter riders to manage. The motorcycle has a declared dry weight of 200kg and gets a 20-litre fuel tank, which should support longer touring journeys with fewer fuel stops.
