Nissan To Unveil Renault Triber based MPV in India on December 18
The Indian division of the Japanese automaker, Nissan is gearing up to launch a new key product in the Indian market. Sharing this update the company revealed that it will introduce its new compact MPV in India on December 18th 2025. This model will be the brand’s third offering alongside the Magnite and X-Trail, and signals the start of Nissan’s three-model push announced earlier this year. This upcoming MPV is also being considered the sister MPV of the Renault Triber which is an established product in the domestic market.
The upcoming MPV is built on the CMF-A platform, the same as the Renault Triber , making it the latest badge-engineered product under the Renault-Nissan Alliance. However, multiple test mule sightings confirm that Nissan has reworked the design extensively to create a visibly different vehicle.
This MPV has also been spied testing and the the according to the images of the test mule which surfaced on social media indicate that this MPV will get - a more upright front fascia, a redesigned grille with a new hexagonal pattern, new headlamp clusters, revised bumper styling, fresh alloy wheel designs, updated rear bumper, tail-lamp and much more.
Its overall silhouette remains similar to the Triber’s sub-4-metre proportions, but the styling updates point to Nissan’s evolving brand design language.
While the cabin has not been officially showcased, the MPV is expected to carry forward the Triber’s 5, 6, and 7-seat configurations. Nissan is likely to introduce its own dashboard trims, upholstery themes and possibly revised materials to differentiate it from its sibling model.
On the features front we expect it to come equipped with - 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Wireless charging, cooled central storage, sliding and reclining second-row seats, connected car features and more.
Nissan’s MPV is expected to use the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 72hp and 96Nm. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual and AMT, similar to the Triber’s setup. A CNG variant could be on the cards, though this is likely to be offered as a dealer-level fitment rather than a factory option.
The upcoming Nissan MPV is expected to be introduced in India with an estimated starting price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
