Porsche Cayenne Electric Launched in India at Rs 1.77 Crore with 642 Km Claimed Range

The Cayenne Electric is being offered alongside the petrol-powered Cayenne, which Porsche says will continue to be sold into the next decade. This implies that the electric version is an addition to the Cayenne range rather than a replacement for the existing petrol models.

The new Porsche Cayenne Electric is available in two variants - Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric. Here are the variant-wise prices for the same:

The Porsche Cayenne Electric gets a 113kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The standard Cayenne Electric develops up to 442PS with Launch Control and produces 835Nm of torque. This SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 230 kmph. The Cayenne Electric boasts a claimed range of up to 642 km on single charge.

The Cayenne Turbo Electric takes the performance figures further. It develops up to 1,156PS with Launch Control and 1,150Nm of torque. The Cayenne Turbo Electric can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 260 kmph. This SUV offers a claimed range of up to 623 km on a single charge.

The Cayenne Electric uses an 800V electrical architecture and supports DC fast charging at up to 390kW. Porsche claims that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in under 16 minutes. The Cayenne Electric also gets regenerative braking.

The Cayenne Electric retains the familiar silhouette of its petrol counterpart but gets changes to distinguish it from the petrol-powered versions. The front-end features a more enclosed design, along with aerodynamic elements and openings for managing airflow and cooling. This SUV is available with 20-inch, 21-inch and 22-inch wheel options.

At the rear, the Cayenne Electric gets a full-width LED light bar with Porsche lettering. The Turbo Electric gets additional design elements to set it apart from the standard electric Cayenne.

On the inside the Cayenne Electric gets a dashboard with digital layout featuring Porsche's ‘Flow Display’ and a digital instrument cluster for the driver. An optional display is also available for the front passenger. The feature list includes an augmented-reality head-up display, AI-assisted voice control, digital key, electrically adjustable front seats, four-zone climate control, ventilated seats, panoramic glass roof, wireless smartphone charging, Mood Modes , which can alter functions such as cabin lighting, air-conditioning, seating position, sound and displays.

The Cayenne Electric comes with adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management. Rear-axle steering is available as an option. The Cayenne Turbo Electric also gets Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, while Porsche Active Ride is offered as an additional suspension option.
