German luxury and sports car manufacturer Porsche has taken the wraps off its first-ever all-electric Macan GTS SUV. With the introduction of the Macan GTS EV the company is expanding its electric performance SUV lineup. The new variant joins the Macan 4, 4S and Turbo models and is slotted in between the 4S and Turbo in the Macan lineup. This also marks the gradual global shift away from internal combustion engine (IEC) versions, which is expected to be discontinued globally by 2026.

The Macan GTS electric is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture co-developed with Audi. It features an 800-volt system that supports consistent power delivery and faster charging. The Macan GTS also gets Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, adaptive air suspension and an optional rear-wheel steering system. The company has tuned the dampers and roll bars specifically for the GTS, giving it the lowest centre of gravity in the Macan Electric lineup.
Porsche Macan GTS Electric: Powertrain
The Porsche Macan GTS houses a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup that produces 563.18 bhp and 955 Nm of torque when the Overboost function or Launch Control is engaged. Under regular driving conditions, output stands at 508.94 bhp. Porsche claims that this all-electric SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 249 kmph which also places it right just below the Turbo model in terms of performance. The Macan Turbo can sprint in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 260 kmph.
Porsche Macan GTS Electric: Battery & Range
The Macan GTS electric uses a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and it boasts a WLTP range of up to 586 km on a single charge. It supports DC fast charging up to 270 kW using which the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 21 minutes.
Porsche Macan GTS Electric: Exterior
On the outside the Porsche Macan GTS stands out from its siblings with blacked-out styling elements, larger air intakes and a lower ride height compared to the Macan 4S. It also comes standard with the Sport Design Package, featuring revised front and rear fascias. The SUV rides on 21-inch wheels, with 22-inch Anthracite Grey alloys available as an option. A new colour called Lugano Blue joins the palette alongside Carmine Red and Chalk. It is available in 15 standard paint options or over 60 custom shades via Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.
Porsche Macan GTS Electric: Interior
On the inside, the Macan GTS features sports seats, GTS specific upholstery, and Porsche’s new curved digital cockpit that includes a passenger-side touchscreen. A GTS Interior Package adds contrast stitching in Lugano Blue, Carmine Red or Slate Grey Neo, along with carbon-fibre trim and GTS logos on the steering wheel and instrument cluster.
Porsche Macan GTS Electric: Availability
The electric Macan GTS will be available globally from 2026, with the model set to become Porsche’s core mid-size electric SUV offering as the brand transitions away from ICE powertrains. The Macan S and GTS were discontinued from the Indian market earlier this year and it is being anticipated that the Macan GTS EV will make its way to India in early 2026.
