Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6: Design and Hardware
The Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 gets a traditional scrambler-inspired design with a slim body, exposed frame, circular headlamp and flat handlebar. It also features a long, narrow enduro-style seat, giving it a distinctive off-road appearance. The motorcycle comes with wire-spoke aluminium wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. It also gets longer-travel suspension, which is designed to improve its ability to handle uneven surfaces and rough roads.
Another notable feature is the battery pack, which is housed inside a finned magnesium casing. This design helps keep the weight in check while improving heat dissipation. The electric scrambler will be showcased in two colour options: Dart Yellow and Lightning Grey.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6: Motor and Performance
The Flying Flea S6 is powered by a high-torque electric motor. However, Royal Enfield has not revealed its exact power output, battery capacity or claimed riding range yet.
The motor is paired with a twist-and-go throttle, making the motorcycle easier to operate for riders with limited experience. It also gets a bidirectional crawl function, allowing riders to move the motorcycle slowly forwards or backwards. This could be useful while navigating tight parking spaces or manoeuvring the motorcycle on uneven surfaces.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6: Features and Technology
The upcoming electric scrambler gets six riding modes, including a dedicated off-road setting and a customisable mode. Riders can also adjust regenerative braking and traction control intervention according to their preferences. In terms of safety, the motorcycle gets lean-angle-sensitive ABS. The system can also be disabled on both wheels for off-road riding.
