Skoda Kodiaq RS India Launch Scheduled for Q2 2026

Skoda India has announced plans to introduce the Skoda Kodiaq RS in India by June 2026. This model will mark the debut of the RS performance line in Skoda’s SUV portfolio for the country. The Kodiaq RS will sit above the standard Kodiaq and is expected to be brought to India in limited numbers.

Skoda Kodiaq RS: Engine and powertrain

The Kodiaq RS is powered by an uprated 2.0L TSI petrol engine that puts out 261.3bhp and 400Nm of torque, which is higher than the standard Kodiaq sold in India. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.
Skoda claims a top speed of 231kmph, while the 0 to 100 kmph sprint time is rated at 6.3 seconds. The SUV also gets upgraded braking hardware, including slotted brake discs and two-piston callipers at the front. Adaptive dampers are standard on global models, though confirmation for the India-spec version is still pending.

Skoda Kodiaq RS: Exterior and interior updates

Compared to the regular Kodiaq, the RS version features several visual changes. These include a revised front bumper, a blacked-out grille, and larger air intakes. Along the sides, the SUV gets body-coloured lower door panels, a blacked-out C-pillar, and 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers. Roof rails, mirror caps, and window surrounds are also finished in black. At the rear, the bumper design has been slightly revised.
Inside, the Kodiaq RS uses an all-black cabin layout with red accents and contrast stitching. The seats are more supportive and feature RS branding on the integrated headrests. The dashboard houses a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital driver display. Physical rotary controls are provided for functions such as climate control and audio volume.

Skoda Kodiaq RS: Expected price and rivals

The standard Kodiaq is assembled in India, but the RS variant is expected to arrive as a completely built unit (CBU). Due to this, pricing is likely to be higher. The Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
