Domestic sales reached 59,000 units, reflecting a 30.53% rise year-on-year. The company also exported 701 units, a notable 110.51% increase from April 2025. Additionally, electric vehicle sales surged, with 9,150 units sold, representing a 72.05% growth compared to the same period last year.

Indian automaker Tata Motors has released its monthly passenger vehicle sales data for April 2026. The data shared by the automaker outlines that Tata Motors has witnessed overall growth in car sales last month. In April 2026 total, domestic, EV sales and exports grew for Tata Motors. Last month the company managed to sell fifty nine thousand units of passenger vehicles (PVs) in the Indian market in April 2026.

Last month Tata Motors managed to sell a total of 59,701 units of passenger vehicles (including PVs sold domestically plus exports from India). This sales figure represents a growth in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales by 14,169 units which further translates into a 31.1 percent rise in year-on-year total monthly passenger vehicle sales. In April 2025 Tata Motors posted a total passenger vehicle sales of 45,532 units.
In April 2026 Tata Motors managed to sell 59,000 units of passenger vehicles domestically in the Indian market. This sales figure indicates a year-on-year increase in monthly domestic passenger vehicles sales by 13,801 units which further translates into a 30.53 percent growth in year-on-year monthly domestic passenger vehicle sales. In April 2025 Tata Motors posted a domestic passenger vehicle sales of 45,199 units.
In April 2026 Tata Motors exported 701 units of passenger vehicles from India. This represents a year-on-year increase in monthly passenger vehicle exports by 368 units which further translates into a 110.51 percent year-on-year growth in monthly passenger vehicle exports. In April 2025 Tata Motors exported 333 units of passenger vehicles.
In April 2026 Tata Motors sold 9,150 units of electric passenger vehicles. This sales figure represents a year-on-year increase in electric passenger vehicles sales by 5,318 units which further translates into a 72.05 percent growth in year-on-year electric passenger vehicle sales. In April 2025 Tata Motors had posted electric vehicle sales of 5,318 units.
