Tata Sierra vs Hyundai Creta: Price
The newly launched Tata Sierra is priced at Rs 13.66 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). Tata positions the SUV as a feature-rich offering intended to take on segment rivals.
The Hyundai Creta, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 12.77 lakh and Rs 24.50 lakh (on-road, Mumbai), making it one of the most accessible and wide-ranging line-ups in the segment.

The Tata Sierra adopts a design inspired by the original Sierra. It incorporates elements such as a floating roof, an extended panoramic glass roof stretching toward the rear and a boxy silhouette. The interior features a triple-screen layout on the dashboard, soft-touch materials, sofa-like rear seats (as described by Tata) and a cabin designed to feel light due to the extensive glass area.
The Hyundai Creta, introduced in its current generation in January 2024, features a sleeker exterior design compared to the Sierra. Inside, the cabin uses a clean and premium layout, with chrome accents and a dual-tone theme. While less dramatic in styling compared to the Sierra, its interior materials are positioned as premium.

Both SUVs offer several shared features, including ventilated front seats, reclining rear seats, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, rear sunshades and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Sierra includes a triple-screen setup (10.25-inch + 12.3-inch + 12.3-inch), a powered driver seat, Level 2+ ADAS, a 12-speaker JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos, a dashboard-mounted Sonic Shift soundbar, an AR head-up display, a powered tailgate with gesture control, extendable front-seat thigh support, multiple terrain modes (Auto, Wet, Rough), and ambient lighting.
The Creta features a dual-screen layout with two 10.25-inch displays, powered front seats, Level 2 ADAS, an 8-speaker Bose Premium audio system, a rear wireless charging pad, powered boss mode, a dashcam, and multiple traction control modes.

The second option is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that develops 105 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, available with a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCA. Tata also offers a 1.5-litre diesel engine rated at 116 bhp and 280 Nm, which can be had with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic transmission.
The Hyundai Creta also comes with three engine choices. Its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque and is paired only with a seven-speed DCT. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generates 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque and is available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed IVT. The Creta’s diesel engine is a 1.5-litre unit delivering 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, offered with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic.
Tata Sierra vs Hyundai Creta: Dimensions
The Tata Sierra measures 4,340 mm in length, 1,841 mm in width, and 1,715 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,730 mm, offering a spacious footprint in the midsize SUV category. The model comes with a 622-litre boot capacity, which expands to 1,257 litres when the rear seats are folded, and it carries a 50-litre fuel tank.
The Hyundai Creta measures 4,330 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. Its wheelbase stands at 2,610 mm, and like the Sierra, it also features a 50-litre fuel tank.
