TVS Posts Highest-Ever Q1 FY Sales; EVs Grow 86 Percent
TVS has shared that it has achieved its best-ever quarterly sales in Q1 of FY2026-27, selling 16.3 lakh two-wheelers and three-wheelers, marking a 28 percent increase from the previous year. In this period electric two-wheeler sales increased by 86 percent.
TVS Posts Highest-Ever Q1 FY Sales; EVs Grow 86 Percent
Indian automaker TVS has reported its highest-ever quarterly sales for the first quarter of FY2026-27, driven by strong demand across motorcycles, scooters, electric vehicles and exports. The company sold 16.3 lakh two-wheeler and three-wheelers during the April-June 2026 period, registering a 28 percent year-on-year growth over 12.8 lakh units sold in the corresponding quarter last year.
TVS has witnessed broad-based growth across its portfolio, with scooters emerging as the fastest-growing volume segment, while electric vehicle sales nearly doubled during the quarter.
TVS Q1 FY27 Sales
Combined two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales stood at 16.3 lakh units in Q1 FY27, up from 12.8 lakh units in Q1 FY26. Motorcycle sales increased 19 percent to 7.4 lakh units compared to 6.2 lakh units in the same period last year. Scooter sales posted a stronger 36 percent growth, rising to 6.8 lakh units from 5 lakh units.
TVS Electric 2W Sales: Q1 FY27
Electric two-wheelers continued to be one of the company's strongest-performing segments. TVS Motor sold 1,29,940 electric two-wheelers during the first quarter of FY27, an increase of 86 percent over 70,060 units sold in the same time period last year. The company also announced that it has crossed the milestone of 10 lakh EV customers.
TVS Exports: Q1 FY27
TVS recorded a 33 percent year-on-year increase during the quarter. Export volumes rose to 4.7 lakh units from 3.5 lakh units in Q1 FY26, supported by demand across overseas markets.
TVS 3W Sales: Q1 FY27
The company's three-wheeler business also posted healthy growth during the quarter. Sales increased 48 percent to 66,697 units compared to 44,978 units in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
