VinFast VF6, VF7 - Deliveries of Electric SUVs Begin in India

The VinFast VF7 offers two battery options: a 59.6 kWh battery with 174.3 bhp and a 70.8 kWh battery with 201.1 bhp. This places it competitively against models like the Mahindra BE 6 and Tata Curvv EV, which also offer similar battery sizes and performance outputs. The VF7's higher-end Sky variant, with a dual-motor setup, reaches 348.6 bhp, making it a strong contender in the performance segment of electric SUVs.

Both the VF6 and VF7 come equipped with advanced safety features including seven airbags, ABS, EBD, and Level 2 ADAS functionalities such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The vehicles also feature a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity options. These technologies enhance both driving safety and convenience, setting them apart from other electric SUVs in the market.

VinFast has partnered with several organizations like RoadGrid and myTVS to establish a robust charging infrastructure across India. The company aims to support its electric vehicle owners by ensuring accessible charging stations in major cities and EV-focused regions. This strategic move is crucial for enhancing the convenience of owning a VinFast electric vehicle in a growing EV market.

VinFast's decision to locally assemble the VF6 and VF7 in Tamil Nadu is expected to reduce import costs and consequently lower the ex-showroom prices for consumers. This move also allows for quicker availability of vehicles and a more responsive supply chain, addressing local market demands more efficiently. The company plans to establish a comprehensive dealership network to support this initiative.

VinFast has ambitious plans to establish 35 dealerships and 26 service workshops across 27 cities in India by the end of 2025. This network will cover major metropolitan areas and regions with a growing interest in electric vehicles. By setting up a local presence, VinFast aims to enhance customer service and build brand loyalty in the competitive Indian EV market.
