KTM's Big Bike Lineup Set For India Debut, Likely At India Bike Week 2024

A banner image is making rounds on the internet with the text, "Unleash The Beast! KTM Super Bikes Open!" The banner likely belongs to a KTM dealership at Mekhri Circle, Bengaluru, Karnataka, which is said to be India's first flagship store, according to the banner. A few months back, Bajaj Auto confirmed that they will be bringing a range of KTM big bikes in India this fiscal year, to launch them.

KTM India is gearing up to launch its big bike lineup, at the upcoming 2024 India Bike Week (IBW). Models such as the KTM 890 Adventure, and the street-focused 990 Duke are expected to be among the offerings.

According to several media reports, Some of the Bengaluru-based local KTM dealers have already started taking unofficial bookings for certain models. While official details are yet to come, this move will be a Major transition in KTM's strategy, which previously was focused on smaller-capacity motorcycles in India.

Earlier, this year KTM said they would be establishing a network of premium dealerships to support its new offerings, with exclusive showrooms in selected metro cities and the renovations to accommodate the new bikes are underway. Bengaluru is known to be one of India’s largest bike markets, in terms of big bikes.

These launches at IBW could mirror past events, such as last Year KTM unveil the KTM 790 Adventure at this festival. Enthusiasts are eager to see how KTM’s big bikes will impact the growing premium motorcycle segment in India.
