Royal Enfield Classic 650 Revealed At EICMA 2024: Specs, Features, Colours

The Classic 650 features the same retro design as the smaller Classic 650, including the tank shape, dual-tone and single-tone colour options along with extensive use of chrome. However, the paint schemes are unique and some even feature a new logo design. Colour options on offer include Teal, Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue and Black Chrome.

Powering the motorcycle is the same 47bhp, 648cc air-cooled twin-cylinder engine as some of the other 650cc Royal Enfields, including Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Bear 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. However, RE says that the Classic 650's engine is claimed to offer strong low-end acceleration and a better throttle response.

It gets disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS, a semi-analogue instrument cluster, and a Tripper navigation pod. Also on offer is an LED headlamp – the same unit as other new RE models. The bike sits on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, while the suspension setup consists of a 43mm Showa telescopic fork at the front, coupled to a twin shock setup at the rear.

The new Classic 650 shares its mainframe with the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650. While it gets a split-seat setup, the rear seat can be removed for a single-seat bobber-like configuration. It weighs 243kg, has a ground clearance of 154mm, a seat height of 800mm, and a 14.8-litre fuel tank capacity.

The Classic 650's price for UK (from £6499) and Italian (from €6800) markets have been revealed, however, prices for India will be significantly lower, but are expected to be revealed later. It will directly rival the recently launched BSA Goldstar 650 here.
