2025 Kia Sportage SUV Breaks Cover With Petrol and Hybrid Options: Check Details
Kia has unveiled the 2025 Sportage, its latest compact SUV tailored for European markets. This revamped model showcases significant updates in design, technology, and powertrains, including both petrol and hybrid options. The sleek exterior features LED Star Map lighting, while the interior boasts dual 12.3-inch displays and advanced connectivity features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, it incorporates numerous safety technologies, such as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Production will occur in Slovakia, with availability expected by the third quarter of 2025.

South Korean automaker Kia has taken the wraps off the latest iteration of its compact SUV, the Sportage, for European markets. This new updated model features changes to its design, interior layout, technology and powertrains. Sharing this update the company showered light on the fact that it has managed to sell over 70 lakh units of this SUV globally. The company revealed that the UK version of the 2025 Sportage SUV will be produced at Kia’s facility in Zilina, Slovakia and it is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in the third quarter of the year.
2025 Kia Sportage: Powertrain
The 2025 Kia Sportage will be offered with both petrol and hybrid powertrains. A turbocharged hybrid system is part of the updated lineup. The vehicle’s aerodynamic profile and low centre of gravity are aimed at enhancing overall driving performance. It will get a FWD 147.94 bhp 1.6L turbo petrol engine with 6-speed MT and 7-speed DCT options and a 235.73 bhp AWD and FWD hybrid options with a 1.6L turbo petrol engine which will be offered with a 6-speed AT.
2025 Kia Sportage: Design
The updated Sportage adopts Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design approach, featuring a combination of smooth and rugged exterior elements. The front fascia includes LED Star Map lighting and a wide grille. Wheel options range between 17-inch and 19-inch sizes, depending on the variant.
On the inside, it features dual 12.3-inch curved displays and a 10-inch head-up display. The layout includes a two-spoke steering wheel and concealed air vents. Depending on the variant, seat upholstery includes Dinamica suede, made with recycled materials. Some variants also include new seat covers and a dual-level cargo floor in the hybrid model.
2025 Kia Sportage: Features
The 2025 Sportage gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard offering. It also gets integrated Kia Connect for digital services and remote functions along with in-car payment functionality for on-street parking. It supports 4G LTE-based internet access through a Wi-Fi hotspot, allowing up to five connected devices. A Harman Kardon audio system and wireless charging pad are part of the interior package in select variants. A multi-mode touchpad allows the driver to switch between audio and climate controls.
2025 Kia Sportage: Safety
On the safety front the 2025 Sportage gets a range of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), such as Autonomous Emergency Braking and Highway Driving Assist 2. These systems use sensors and cameras for hazard detection, lane change assistance, and adaptive speed control.
