BMW Launches Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition In India, Featuring Manual Gearbox For The First Time
BMW has launched the Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition in India. The limited-run model is available with manual and automatic transmissions, priced at Rs 96.90 lakh and Rs 97.90 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).

BMW India has launched the Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition at a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 96.90 lakh. This limited-edition model is imported as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) and is available with two transmission options: a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic.
BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition: Transmission and Performance
This edition marks the first time the Z4 M40i is being offered in India with a manual gearbox. It is powered by a 3.0L, six-cylinder petrol engine that puts out, 335 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The automatic variant accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds, while the manual takes 4.6 seconds.

BMW has priced the automatic variant at Rs 96.90 lakh and the manual at Rs 97.90 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices include GST and compensation cess but exclude other taxes and registration charges.

BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition: Exterior and Interior Features
The BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition will be available in two new paint options — Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green. It also gets a staggered wheel setup, with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear M alloy wheels.
On the inside, the manual version gets Vernasca leather upholstery in Cognac with specific stitching. Both variants offer M Sport seats, M steering wheel, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control and powered seat adjustment with memory.
BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition: Technology and Optional Equipment
The car includes BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional system with a 10.25-inch digital display, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation and Bluetooth. Optional features include Comfort Access, Harman Kardon sound system, adaptive headlights, Parking Assistant and a head-up display.
BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition: Safety and Driver Assistance
In terms of safety, the BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition comes with front and side airbags, ABS with brake assist, stability and traction controls and side-impact protection. Driver assistance features include Active Park Distance Control, rear-view camera and Driving Assistant package.
BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition: Mechanical Setup and Efficiency
The Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition includes Adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, and M Sport differential. Efficiency-related features include Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO drive mode and Brake-Energy Regeneration. The car maintains a near 50:50 weight balance.
