Bollywood actor, John Abraham was recently spotted with his new Mahindra Thar Roxx. The Dhoom fame, who is known to be a superbike fanatic has purchased the 5-door iteration of the rugged off-roader from Indian automaker, Mahindra’s portfolio. The actor was seen posing next to his black Thar Roxx. John was seen posing next to a black Mahindra XUV 3XO which he bought as a gift for his father.
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is offered with both diesel and petrol engines. The diesel variant is powered by Mahindra's 2.2L mHawk Gen2 engine, producing 150 bhp and 350 Nm of torque in the base model. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol version features a 2.0L turbocharged engine, similar to those in the Scorpio N and XUV700. This engine generates 160 bhp and 330 Nm in the entry-level model, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Additionally, the Thar Roxx focuses on hardcore off-roading, featuring high ground clearance, a refreshed six-slat front grille, and reinforced bumpers. In addition to that, the off-roader is equipped with a 10.2-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents with a Type-C charging port, electric power steering, 300-350 liters of boot space, 3-point seatbelt for all passengers and driver seat height adjust, among others when it comes to its interiors.
Furthermore, the Mahindra Thar Roxx 5-door is priced between Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a range of options from rear-wheel drive (RWD) to 4-wheel drive.
