Cadillac Unveils All Electric Sollei Concept

Named after the sun ('SOL') and leisure ('LEI'), Sollei represents Cadillac’s vision of an open-air, leisurely lifestyle. It is Cadillac’s first concept to incorporate Fine Mycelium™ by MycoWorks, a bio-based material used in the charging mats and door map pockets, reflecting the brand’s commitment to renewable automotive resources.

The exterior of the Sollei is the low elongated body, wide stance and long coupe door enhance accessibility to the spacious rear. Uninterrupted surfaces and a stretched A-line emphasize the vehicle’s length, while a low tail design creates dynamic proportions. Discrete buttons replace conventional door handles, maintaining a clean profile.

The Sollei’s exterior is finished in "Manila Cream," a color originally used on Cadillacs in 1957 and 1958. This color was hand-painted by Cadillacs factorymen.

Erin Crossley, design director, Cadillac, said,“Sollei reimagines the discovery of travel, envisioning a personalized driving experience that connects one with the natural world around them. The concept celebrates Cadillac’s pedigree of elegant convertibles in a modern form by cultivating high luxury through design expressions and experiences.”

Inside, features of Sollei include a fully integrated beverage chiller with a power glass door and crystal glasses. The interior is wrapped in unstained wood veneers, showcases natural color and grain patterns. Surfaces feature open pore finishes, hand-cut and hand-laid using marquetry techniques. The windshield is framed in milled brushed aluminum.

Lighting plays a key role in personalization, with ambient lighting options offering 126 color choices in multiple zones. For bird-watching enthusiasts, the Sollei includes a custom metal and leather-wrapped case with 3D-printed acrylic bird calls, a leather-bound journal with hand-painted bird illustrations and a leather tool roll.
