The Toyota Taisor, which shares its platform and production line with the Fronx at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant, currently offers six airbags only in its higher trims. An announcement from Toyota regarding a similar safety update is expected soon.
Recent Export Milestone

Wider Rollout Across Maruti Lineup

Similarly, six airbags were made standard on all variants of the Ertiga and Baleno on July 16, 2025. This led to price increases of 1.4% for the Ertiga and 0.5% for the Baleno.
Compliance with Anticipated Safety Norms
These updates come ahead of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ expected regulation requiring six airbags in all new passenger vehicles from October 2025. While the mandate has not yet been enforced, manufacturers are updating their product lines in preparation.
Other Maruti Suzuki models that already come with six airbags across all variants include the Alto K10, Celerio, WagonR, Eeco, Swift, Dzire, Brezza, Grand Vitara, Jimny and Invicto.
