3 Lakh Units Of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Sold In Record Time; Becomes The Quickest Selling SUV In Its Segment

Slotted above the highlight successful Brezza, the Grand Vitara was introduced in the compact SUV segment in India back in September 2022. This segment was dominated by established products like Hyundaii Creta and Kia Seltos, however the introduction of Grand Vitara and its Toyota sibling were expected to shake up the segment and very rightly so they did.

The Grand Vitara came out of the gates with flying colours boasting accolades that were even difficult for an industry benchmark product like Creta to match. Maruti Suzuki introduced the Grand Vitara with petrol, hybrid, CNG and AWD options to take on its rivals in a super competitive segment. It wasn’t just about powertrains and drivetrains, the company packed this SUV with tons of features making it stand toe to toe with its Korean counterparts.

This was the first time that Maruti Suzuki established its dominance in this price segment and like they say the rest is history. Today the company has come out and announced that the Grand Vitara has become the fastest SUV in its segment to cross the 3 lakh unit sales milestone. Achieving this remarkable feat in just 32 months.

Some time back the company discontinued its CNG version and currently the Grand Vitara is offered in petrol and strong hybrid fuel options with the options of FWD and AWD. The company offers this SUV in the Indian market in an ex-showroom price range of Rs 11.42 to 20.52 lakh (ex-showroom).
