New Toyota Camry India Launch On December 11: Design, Specs, Features, Expected Price

Toyota will introduce the ninth-gen Camry in India on December 11. The updated sedan gets design changes inside-out, a better equipment list, along with an uprated powertrain. The new Camry will have no direct rivals in the market upon arrival, but will be joined by the new Skoda Superb in the segment some time next year.

New-gen Toyota Camry
Toyota Kirloskar Motor is all set to introduce a generational update for the Camry on December 11. The ninth-gen Camry made its global debut in November last year, while the eighth-gen model continues to be on sale in India as Toyota's flagship sedan offering here.

New Toyota Camry: Exterior, Interior Design

On the styling front, the Toyota Camry gets evolutionary changes such as a large grille at the front, slimmer headlamps with C-shaped LED DRLs, new alloy wheels, as well as C-shaped wraparound tail lamps at the rear. While other dimensions remain unchanged, the new Camry is 35mm longer than the one sold in India at 4,920mm.
Inside the cabin, the new Camry gets a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system taking the centre stage, a similarly sized TFT instrument cluster, a new three-spoke steering wheel as well as a revised dashboard design and a dual-tone theme. Features on offer include wireless smartphone connectivity, sunroof, ADAS safety tech, connected-car features, dual-zone climate control and more.

New Toyota Camry: Powertrain, Expected Price, Rivals

The new Camry will continue to be offered with a 2.5L four-cylinder hybrid petrol engine, but with an increased power output of 224bhp (up from 215bhp). Thanks to the strong-hybrid tech, the claimed fuel efficiency figure will likely be in north of 20kpl.
The current-gen Camry is currently priced in India at Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom) for the sole variant on offer, while the new model is expected to carry a slight price hike owing to the changes. That said, the 2025 Camry will have no direct rivals in India upon arrival considering that the Skoda Superb is being brought to the country through the CBU route, attracting higher tax implications. Skoda is planning to bring the new-gen Superb to India next year, which will likely be assembled locally, and directly lock horns with the new Toyota Camry .
