Volvo Crosses 50 Lakh Cars Sales In US

The information shared by the company outlines that Volvo has crossed the 5 million unit sales mark in the US. This sales feat also coincides with the company’s 70th anniversary in the US. The company highlighted that the 5 millionth unit in the US market was sold by the company on March 29th 2025. This 5 millionth unit sold was an 2025 model year XC60 SUV sold by Patrick Volvo Cars in Schaumburg, Illinois to a customer known as Erin Taylor. This Volvo dealer has been facilitating Volvo car sales in the Chicago region of the US for over 30 years.

Globally accredited for making one of the safest cars on the planet Volvo commenced its operations in the US back in 1955 with its PV444s from the Long Beach region in California. By 1957 the company became the second largest car import brand in California. Then by 1974, the USA had become the biggest market for Volvo. Currently Volvo’s network in USA spans across 281 retailers in 48 states.
