The recall was considered a critical concern on June 11, 2025, and Volvo confirmed a field service action the following day. Volvo will reimburse customers for any out-of-pocket costs related to the defect if repairs were completed before the recall notice.
Owners affected by this recall will begin receiving notifications starting August 6, 2025. In the meantime, Volvo has advised customers not to drive the vehicles and to park them outside as a precaution. VIN-based recall lookups will be available from June 20, 2025.
