For the 2025 model year, Toyota has streamlined the Mirai lineup by offering it exclusively in the XLE grade. Standard features include a Panoramic View Monitor, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, Digital Key capability, front-seat foot illumination, heated dual-tone outside mirrors and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 package. The 2025 Toyota Mirai is set to arrive at dealerships in spring 2025 with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of \$51,795.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology and Powertrain
The Mirai functions as a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), generating electricity through a chemical reaction between hydrogen from onboard tanks and oxygen from the air. This process results in water as the only byproduct. Unlike battery-electric vehicles, the Mirai does not require plug-in charging. Instead, its hydrogen tanks can be refilled in a few minutes. The electricity generated powers a rear-mounted AC synchronous electric motor.
Exterior and Interior Features
2025 Toyota Mirai maintains a low and wide stance. It comes with 19-inch aluminum wheels and all-season tires. The exterior lighting system includes auto-leveling bi-beam LED headlights, multi-LED turn signals, and a thin LED taillight panel. Heated, power-folding outside mirrors have integrated turn signals, defrosters, and blind spot indicators.
On the Inside, the Mirai includes SofTex-trimmed heated front seats, an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat and dual-zone automatic climate control. The vehicle is available in six exterior color options, including Black, Oxygen White, Supersonic Red, Heavy Metal, Hydro Blue and Elemental Silver Metallic.
Technology and Connectivity
2025 Toyota Mirai features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display provides access to multimedia, climate controls and navigation. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and an available Drive Connect subscription for voice-activated functions. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster provides vehicle information, including hydrogen fuel level and driving range. Additionally, it has wireless phone charging, USB Type C charging ports, and a Wi-Fi Connect trial for internet connectivity.
Safety Features
The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite comes standard on the 2025 Mirai. The system includes:
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Road Sign Assist
- Automatic High Beams
- Proactive Driving Assist
Additional safety features include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking, and Traffic Jam Assist (available with an active Drive Connect subscription).
