iGowise Mobility Expands Global Reach With EV Partnerships In UK, Switzerland And South America
Bangalore-based iGowise Mobility (iGo) has announced new collaborations with EVMI Solutions in the UK, Swiss-based Subeez and Colombian logistics company Yaanco SAS to expand its electric trike business in international markets. The partnerships will focus on developing electric trikes suited for different regions while supporting India's EV export sector. iGo has also partnered with Hala Mobility to introduce 2,000 high-speed e-trikes in India.
Focus on Global Market Needs
iGo aims to introduce fully assembled e-trikes before 2026 and establish micro-assembly units within 24–30 months. The company plans to adapt its modular LeanEV platform to suit local conditions. In South America, the focus will be on weather-resistant designs and all-terrain capability. Northern European models will prioritize battery efficiency for cold temperatures, while Middle Eastern markets require electric trikes that can operate in high heat and on expressways.
Sravan Kumar Appana, founder of iGo, said, “In the history of independent India, we have always relied on the Indian domestic consumption, importing foreign technologies before coming up with something of our own. For the first time, we will pioneer by exporting our technology. I have always believed that innovation and IP-led development can drive the most holistic and sustainable growth. These partnerships open up a new era of confident and resilient iGo and Bharat. With this strategy, India can easily aim to triple our automotive and technology exports to USD 300 billion in less than a decade.”
Addressing Issues with Existing Imports
Current trike imports from Japan and China face challenges such as high import costs, insurance fees, and licensing requirements. iGo’s twin-wheel design aims to reduce costs by allowing easier registration and avoiding three-wheeler license requirements in some regions.
Developing an EV Manufacturing Hub
Through these partnerships, iGo plans to provide global fleet operators with region-specific electric trikes while making international standards accessible to Indian customers. The company and its partners also intend to establish a micromobility lab to advance AI-powered micro-EV development.
Dr. Ankur Seth, founder of Yaanco (Colombia, South America), says, “We are on a mission to electrify South America with smart, affordable lightEVs, and iGo's unique technology will play a role in ensuring safety, capacity, comfort and reliability. There’s a huge opportunity in both the logistics and personal-use segments, making this a great time for high-quality Indian products to make a global mark, given our almost identical geographical and economic conditions.”
