Ola Electric will begin deliveries of its Roadster X electric motorcycle on May 23. The model comes in three battery variants and will compete with other electric two-wheelers in the market.

Ola Electric will begin delivering its first electric motorcycle, the Roadster X, on May 23. The update was shared by the company's CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on the social media platform X. Deliveries were delayed multiple times before the latest confirmation.
The first unit of the Roadster X was rolled out from Ola’s manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, in April 2025. The model is the first of several upcoming electric motorcycles from the company.
Ola Roadster X: Mechanical Setup
The Ola Roadster X uses a mid-mounted motor with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU). The power is delivered through a chain-driven system. It also features flat cable architecture aimed at better packaging and heat management.
Ola Roadster X: Technology and Software
The motorcycle runs on Ola’s MoveOS 5 platform. It comes with single-channel ABS using a brake-by-wire system. Other features include regenerative braking, cruise control and reverse mode. A 4.3-inch LCD display with USB support is also provided.
Ola Roadster X: Battery and Pricing
Ola has introduced the Roadster X motorcycle with three battery pack options - 2.5kWh, 3.5kWH and 4.5kWh. The Roadster X with a 2.5kWh battery pack offers a range of up to 144 km, the 3.5kWh version offers a range of up to 201 km and the 4.5kWh battery pack version offers a range of up to 259 km on single change. The Roadster X range is offered with three riding modes - Eco, Normal and Sports. The 2.5kWh version can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kmph. On the other hand the 2.5kWh and 3.5kWh models can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.1 seconds and have a top speed of 118 kmph. Deliveries of the Roadster X series are scheduled to begin later this month.
