Jaguar To Introduce Its Electric Cars In India, To Reveal Type 00 On June 14: Check Details

Jaguar is set to launch its new electric vehicle, the Type 00, in India on June 14, 2024. Initially unveiled at the Miami Art Week in December 2024, this four-door GT marks the brand's transition to an all-electric lineup. The vehicle features a modern design with horizontal LED DRLs and a revised logo, attracting mixed reactions. The Type 00 includes a cockpit-style interior with retractable screens and a unique steering wheel design. Built on the Jaguar Electric Architecture, it promises an impressive range of 770 km.

British luxury automaker, Jaguar is set to reveal its new electric car, the Type 00 in India on June 14, 2024. The Jaguar Type 00 was revealed earlier in December 2024 at the Miami Art Week. The electric luxury car came into existence after the Tata-owned entity chose to go environment-friendly and go completely electric.

Not only did it completely disband petrol or diesel-powered vehicles but it also cahnged the logo which attracted plenty of criticism. The Type 00 concept which was unveiled at the Miami Art Week was a two-door coupe, but the company has revealed that the production version will be a four-door GT.

The electric car from rebranded Jaguar features horizontal LED DRLs, horizontal lines with the new Jaguar letter mark emblem instead of a conventional grille. Additionally, the concept car from Jaguar boasts large, accentuated wheel arches with 23-inch alloy wheels and a sloping fastback roofline. At the back too, it gets horizontal lines with tail lamps neatly integrated on the bottom- and top-most lines.

In addition to that, the interiors of the Type 00 feature a cockpit-like layout, divided into two parts with screens that deploy when needed. Moreover, the concept EV has a three-spoke steering-wheel with a flat top and bottom. It will be built on the new Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) dedicated EV platform and offer a WLTP range of up to 770 km, adding 321 km of charge in 15 minutes of charging.
