What to Expect from the Kia Carens Clavis EV
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Powertrain
The Carens Clavis EV is expected to be available with the same battery packs as available in the Hyundai Creta Electric i.e 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. These battery packs will power a front-axle mounted electric motor, likely producing 132 bhp and 169 bhp, respectively. The claimed driving range is expected to be around 490 km on a single charge.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Interior
On the inside, Clavis EV is likely to get two 12.3-inch screens (one each for the infotainment system and the other as digital instrument cluster). Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and automatic climate control and seen in its ICE counterpart.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Safety Features
In terms of safety Kia Carens Clavis EV is likely to get six airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, disc brakes on all wheels, Level 2 ADAS and more.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Shared Platform and Technology
The Kia Carens Clavis EV is built on the same platform as its ICE counterpart and will share EV-related technologies with the Hyundai Creta Electric. Most other structural and cabin components are expected to be retained from the petrol and diesel versions.
