Dimensions and exterior design
MG has not yet released the detailed specifications of the India-spec Majestor. However, based on the international D90 Max, the Majestor measures 5,046mm in length, 2,016mm in width and 1,876mm in height. This makes it 61mm longer, 90mm wider and 9mm taller than the Gloster. The wheelbase remains identical at 2,950mm.
Front design
At the front, the Majestor adopts a different design approach compared to the Gloster. It features a split headlamp setup with vertically stacked LED units positioned on the bumper, while the LED daytime running lamps are integrated into the grille. The grille carries rectangular detailing with chrome inserts, and the bumper features prominent cladding elements. In contrast, the Gloster uses a more chrome-focused front design with a conventional headlamp layout.
Rear styling
At the rear, the Majestor introduces connected LED tail-lamps, replacing the standalone tail-lamp units seen on the Gloster. The MG badge is replaced with “Morris Garages” lettering across the tailgate. The rear bumper also features additional cladding. The exhaust layout differs as well, with the Majestor using dual exhaust tips, while the Gloster features a quad-exhaust design. Although the Majestor is slightly wider and taller than the Gloster, both SUVs share the same 2,950mm wheelbase.
Side profile
In profile, the overall silhouette remains similar between the two SUVs. However, the Majestor is equipped with redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels along with blacked-out wheel arches and side sills. The Gloster retains a comparatively more chrome-accented treatment along the side profile.
Interior and features
MG has not yet revealed the cabin layout of the India-spec Majestor. Internationally, the SUV features a redesigned dashboard with a new free-standing infotainment touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster and a revised centre console layout.
The Gloster, on the other hand, is offered in India with a conventional integrated infotainment system and is available in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. MG has not confirmed the seating options for the Majestor in the Indian market. Given its positioning above the Gloster, additional features may be introduced, although official details are pending.
Powertrain and mechanicals
Mechanically, both the MG Majestor and the MG Gloster are expected to use the same 2.0L turbo-diesel engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. In India, the Gloster is currently offered in two states of tune: a 160.7bhp, 375Nm single-turbo version and a 212.5bhp, 480Nm bi-turbo version, with the latter featuring four-wheel drive. The Majestor is likely to be introduced with the higher-output 212.5bhp bi-turbo diesel engine and four-wheel drive as standard, although MG has not yet confirmed the final powertrain specifications for the India-spec model.
