Skoda Auto India recently revealed the full variant-wise price list of the new Kylaq, which was launched last month as the brand's most affordable car in India with prices starting from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The Kylaq gets Skoda's 1.0L three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine making 113 bhp and 178 Nm and serves as a rival to sub-4m SUVs like Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, among other similarly priced offerings.

To make it easier for you, we have chosen an average tenure period of 5 years as standard, along with approximately 20% of the total value as down payment and an estimated 10% bank interest rate. Do note that the buyer is free to choose the tenure, while the ROI varies from one bank to another. Moreover, you can also choose to pay a higher or lower down payment initially, which will decrease or increase your equated monthly installment (EMI) respectively.
The Skoda Kylaq is priced from Rs 7.89 lakh for the entry-level Classic MT variant to Rs 14.40 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the top-end Prestige AT. However, the estimated on-road (Delhi) prices of the sub-4m SUV range from Rs 8.80 lakh to Rs 16.57 lakh.
Let's assume you plan on purchasing the top-end Skoda Kylaq Prestige MT variant, which currently has an ex-showroom price of Rs 13.35 lakh. If you pay Rs 3.1 lakh as down payment out of the Rs 15.37 lakh estimated on-road (Delhi) price, you will end up paying an EMI of about Rs 26,060 for a period of 60 months/5 years against a loan amount of Rs 12.27 lakh. At the end of the tenure, you would have paid about Rs 15.64 lakh for the SUV over and above the down payment made at the time of purchase.
