2026 Hyundai Verna Facelift Launched in India at Rs 10.98 Lakh: Check What's New

The Indian division of the South Korean automaker Hyundai has today introduced the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift in the Indian market. The MY26 Verna has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom). The Verna facelift gets revised design, interiors, features, technology and safety elements.

The 2026 Verna features changes to the front design, including a black chrome radiator grille and dual LED projector headlamps. Hyundai has also revised the front and rear bumpers as part of the exterior update. The Verna now comes with new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Hyundai has also added two new exterior colour options- Classy Blue and Titan Grey Matte.

Inside the cabin of the facelifted Verna, Hyundai has introduced additional comfort and convenience features. The driver’s seat now offers 8-way electric adjustment along with a memory function and welcome retract feature. The front passenger seat gets 4-way electric adjustment along with an electric walk-in function. The cabin also features leatherette upholstery and a D-cut steering wheel. A rear window sunshade and a smart trunk function have been added. Boot capacity stands at 528 litres.

The Verna continues with dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, an electric sunroof and an eight-speaker Bose sound system. Hyundai has also added a switchable interface for the infotainment and climate control panel.

Hyundai continues to offer the 2026 model year Verna with the two existing petrol engine options, i.e. the 1.5L naturally aspirated (NA) petrol and the 1.5L turbo-petrol.

The 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 113.43bhp and 143.8 Nm of torque. It is offered with two gearbox options - 6-speed manual transmission (MT) and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT).

The 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine produces 157.81bhp and 253Nm of torque. This engine is available with two transmission options - 6-speed MT and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

On the safety front the 2026 Hyundai Verna comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS, 7-airbags, a surround view monitor, blind-spot view monitor and a built-in dashcam. Standard safety equipment list of the 2026 Verna includes 6-airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) with vehicle stability management (VSM), hill start assist (HSA), ISOFIX mounts and rear parking sensors.
