BMW F 450 GS Adventure Motorcycle Launched in India at Rs 4.70 Lakh
BMW Motorrad has launched the F 450 GS motorcycle in India. The F 450 GS features a 420cc parallel-twin engine generating 48bhp, and available in three variants, priced between Rs 4.70 lakh to Rs 5.30 lakh.

BMW Motorrad, the two-wheeler arm of the German luxury automaker has today launched the F 450 GS motorcycle in India at Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The F 450 GS has been developed by BMW Motorrad in collaboration with TVS Motor Company. The F 450 GS is manufactured in India at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur facility, which will also serve as as a export base for global markets as production is already underway.
The new 450cc platform is expected to underpin multiple upcoming models from BMW Motorrad. With local manufacturing in place, India will act as a production base for both domestic and export markets. BMW has introduced the F 450 GS in three variants - Basic, Exclusive and GS Trophy. The GS Trophy variant is equipped with tubeless wire-spoke wheels and off-road-oriented tyres.

BMW F 450 GS: Design
The BMW F 450 GS adopts styling cues from its elder sibling; i.e. the R 1300 GS, featuring a compact GS design language. The F 450 GS rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup with dual-purpose tyres. Suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock.

BMW F 450 GS: Engine
Powering the BMW F 450 GS is a 420cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 48bhp and 43Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, it also gets a slipper clutch and bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

The F 450 GS comes equipped with rider aids including traction control, ABS Pro, riding modes, and engine drag torque control. It also features a TFT display with connectivity and navigation support.

The BMW F 450 GS has been launched in three variants Basic priced at Rs 4.70 lakh, Exclusive priced at Rs 4.90 lakh and the GS Sport priced at Rs 5.30 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom). The BMW F 450 GS has entered the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment in India where it will compete with models like the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Honda NX500.
