BMW M2 CS: Powertrain
The M2 CS comes equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline 6-cylinder petrol engine producing 523bhp and 650Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. BMW claims a 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time of 3.8 seconds, while top speed is limited to 302 kmph. It also gets M Driver’s Package offered as standard.
The model also gets adaptive M suspension, M Servotronic steering and configurable M Drive modes accessible via steering-mounted buttons. Other systems include M Track Mode, Active M Differential, 10-stage traction control and a drift analyser.
BMW M2 CS: Chassis
BMW has reduced the weight of the M2 CS by around 30 kg compared to the standard version. This has been achieved through the use of carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) parts such as the roof, boot lid, rear diffuser and mirror caps.
The car also features revised chassis tuning with changes to springs, dampers and control systems. It sits lower than the standard M2, with updates aimed at improving track performance.
BMW M2 CS: Design
The M2 CS features design updates including a carbon-fibre roof, CFRP boot lid with integrated ducktail spoiler and a revised rear diffuser.
At the front, the kidney grille gets larger air intakes along with a matte black splitter. The coupe rides on forged M alloy wheels finished in Gold Bronze, sized 19-inch at the front and 20-inch at the rear, paired with track tyres.
The braking setup includes M Compound brakes as standard, with an optional M Carbon ceramic brake package. The exhaust system features electrically controlled flaps and quad exhaust outlets.
BMW M2 CS: Interior & Features
On the inside, the M2 CS is equipped with M Carbon bucket seats finished in Merino leather. Alcantara is used across the steering wheel and interior surfaces, while carbon-fibre trim is seen on the centre console and panels.
The cabin also includes illuminated ‘CS’ branding, M seatbelts and configurable ambient lighting. The flat-bottom M steering wheel gets paddle shifters and dedicated M buttons.
BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional setup is offered as standard, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen running OS 8.5. Other features include navigation, connected car tech, a head-up display and a rear-view camera.
BMW M2 CS: Safety
The M2 CS comes with multiple airbags, ABS with brake assist, dynamic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring and ISOFIX mounts. It also includes systems such as Dynamic Brake Control, Cornering Brake Control and M Dynamic Mode.
