Bengaluru-based EV startup E3 Electric.AI has entered India's passenger electric scooter segment with the launch of the E3 Trion, which it claims is the country's first AI-powered intelligent electric scooter. Built on a modular platform.

The company says the E3 Trion has been developed to tackle some of the biggest concerns among EV buyers, including range anxiety, battery life, safety, service support and long-term ownership costs.

E3 Trion: Price and Variants

The E3 Trion is offered in multiple variants with different battery and performance options.
  • E3 Trion C1x: Rs 1,09,999 (introductory ex-showroom, Bengaluru)
  • E3 Trion C2: Rs 1,19,999 (introductory ex-showroom, Bengaluru)
The scooter is available in six colour options:
  • Solar Red
  • Misty Green
  • Graphite Grey
  • Nova Blue
  • Teal Blue
  • Luna White
Customers can also choose optional accessories such as a backrest, helmet holder, phone holder and ladies' footrest.

E3 Trion: Claimed Range

The E3 Trion lineup caters to different riding requirements.
The C1 variant comes with a removable battery that can be charged at home, the office or public charging stations.
The C1x is equipped with a 3 kWh battery and delivers a claimed IDC-certified range of 165 km.
For riders looking for better performance, the C2 variant offers a top speed of 82 km/h and can sprint from 0-40 km/h in 6 seconds in Sport mode. It also gets Eco and Power riding modes.
The scooter uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, which the company claims is engineered for up to eight years of real-world usage.

E3 Trion: Features

The biggest highlight of the E3 Trion is its AI-based technology platform.
At the heart of the scooter is the company's E3 COMMANDCENTER, which continuously monitors the scooter's health, predicts potential issues before they occur and supports over-the-air software updates.
The scooter also gets a 5-inch digital display integrated with smartphone connectivity through the TRIPSENSE system.

The E3 Trion has been designed keeping Indian commuting conditions in mind.
It rides on 14-inch wheels, which are aimed at improving stability and ride confidence across city roads and uneven surfaces.

E3 Trion: Modular Platform for Future Models

The scooter is built on the company's new TRIAXISFRAME modular platform, allowing support for both removable and fixed battery configurations.
Power comes from either a 2.3 kWh portable battery or a 3 kWh fixed battery, paired with a PMSM hub motor. The modular architecture is also designed to make servicing easier while allowing future product upgrades and additional variants.
