Hyundai Creta Crosses 15 Lakh Sales Milestone in India
The Hyundai Creta has officially surpassed 15 lakh domestic wholesale units since its 2015 debut. The SUV remains a cornerstone of the brand's portfolio, contributing significantly to its total utility vehicle dispatches.
Hyundai Creta: Sales Performance
The model's sales trajectory has shown consistent momentum over recent fiscal years. The Creta achieved its highest annual wholesale volume in FY2026, recording 201,921 units, which represents a 4 percent year-on-year increase. This followed a strong performance in FY2025, where sales grew by 20 percent to reach 1,94,871 units, and FY2024, which saw 1,62,773 units dispatched, marking an 8 percent rise. However, the first half of FY2027 saw a slight cooling in demand, with combined wholesales for the standard Creta and the Creta Electric reaching 89,727 units, a 10 percent decline compared to the same period in the previous year.Hyundai Creta: Current Model
Hyundai offers the Creta in the Indian market in two broad versions. One comes with a internal combustion engine and the other is an all-electric version. The internal-combustion version of the Creta is currently available in 27 variants, offering consumers a choice between three powertrains: a 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160PS 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol, and a 116PS 1.5-litre diesel unit. These engines are paired with four different transmission options. Safety remains a key focus, with all variants equipped with six airbags and ABS with electronic brakeforce distribution as standard.Hyundai Creta: Next-Generation What to Expect?
Looking ahead, the manufacturer is preparing for the next phase of the model's lifecycle. A new generation of the Hyundai Creta is anticipated to arrive in 2027, with reports suggesting it will be built on the K3 platform, the same architecture that currently underpins the second-generation Kia Seltos.Honda Elevate ₹ 11.80 Lakh - ₹ 18.39 Lakh
