Energy Dispensed and Emissions Cut
According to HMIL, the charging stations have delivered over 2.3 million units of electricity through more than 1,80,000 charging sessions for both individual and commercial users. This usage has contributed to the prevention of more than 1.6 million kilograms of tailpipe carbon dioxide emissions.
Charger Configurations and Reliability
The charging stations include direct current (DC) fast chargers with multiple configurations such as 150 kW + 60 kW + 30 kW, 150 kW + 30 kW and 60 kW setups. HMIL reported that the network maintains over 97 percent uptime. Several stations are located near cafes, restaurants and retail areas, and many provide on-site marshals during peak hours as well as 24x7 CCTV coverage.
Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning, HMIL said, “At Hyundai Motor India, we are strongly positioned to lead the acceleration of EV adoption across the country. Leveraging Hyundai Motor Company’s global expertise in EV and battery technologies, we’ve introduced cutting-edge products like the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and CRETA Electric. Alongside this, we are actively building a comprehensive EV ecosystem designed to ease range anxiety and provide seamless charging access for both Hyundai and non-Hyundai EV customers - across major highways, key urban centers and HMIL dealerships. We have significantly expanded our EV retail footprint with 542 sales outlets across 238 cities, as of August 2025. In alignment with the Government of India’s vision for mass mobility electrification, HMIL remains committed to strategic investments in both new-age EV platforms and robust charging infrastructure.”
Key Locations Covered
The charging stations are available in major cities including Gurugram, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Chennai. Highways such as Delhi–Chandigarh, Delhi–Jaipur, Hyderabad–Vijayawada, Mumbai–Pune, Mumbai–Surat, Bengaluru–Pune and Pune–Kolhapur are also part of the coverage.
App Integration and Payment Solutions
The myHyundai mobile application gives users access to over 20,000 charging points, including both HMIL and partner charge point operator (CPO) networks. The app supports search, booking, and digital payment. In addition, Hyundai’s in-car payment system, Hyundai Pay, currently allows direct payments for charging at over 1,200 points, with further integration planned.
Focus on Tamil Nadu
In Tamil Nadu, HMIL has committed to setting up 100 fast charging stations. Sixteen stations are already operational, with 30 more expected by the end of 2025.
