Kia Carens Clavis EV Gets 15 Years Unlimited Kilometers Battery Warranty in India

The Indian division of the South Korean automaker Kia has today announced that the Carens Clavis EV is now available in India with a new extended battery warranty. The details shared by the automaker outlines that the Kia Carens Clavis EV is now being offered with a battery warranty of 15 years and unlimited kilometers. The warranty applies to Carens Clavis EVs retailed from August 1, 2026 onwards.

The company has also introduced an option for eligible existing Carens Clavis EV customers to extend their battery warranty. Customers who purchased the electric MPV before August 1, 2026 can upgrade the existing 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty to 15 years with unlimited kilometres.

The new warranty is applicable to the first owner and provides coverage for 15 years without a kilometre limit. Kia says the programme is aimed at addressing concerns related to long-term battery health and potential replacement costs, which remain important considerations for EV buyers.

For existing customers, the warranty extension is optional and costs Rs 3,400, inclusive of all taxes. The extension is subject to eligibility, vehicle evaluation and the applicable terms and conditions. Customers can check their eligibility with their respective Kia dealers.

The 15-year unlimited-kilometre coverage is not applicable to second owners or commercial vehicles. For these customers, the HV battery warranty remains 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever comes earlier.
