Kia Sorento: Expected Exterior Design
The India-spec Kia Sorento follows the same overall design seen in international markets. At the front, it gets Kia’s signature Tiger Nose grille, which is positioned upright and gives the SUV a bold appearance.
The SUV also gets vertically stacked ice-cube LED projector headlights, along with LED fog lights integrated into the lower section of the front bumper.
From the side, the Sorento gets prominent body cladding, chrome detailing around the windows and roof rails. The SUV seen in the video is equipped with 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, adding to its premium look.
At the rear, the Sorento features vertically positioned tail lamps, while an additional brake light is mounted on the roof spoiler. The lower section gets black body cladding with silver-finished detailing.
Kia Sorento: Expected Interior and Features
The cabin is likely to be one of the biggest highlights of the new Sorento. The latest video appears to show a second-top variant of the 7-seater version, featuring a light-coloured interior.

Unlike the tan interior seen on the top-spec six-seater version spotted earlier, this model gets an all-white/grey cabin. It also features a 60:40 split-folding second-row seat, making it more practical for carrying passengers and luggage.
Other visible features include a panoramic sunroof, dual-screen setup and retractable sunshades for second-row passengers.
The SUV is also expected to offer a Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, rotary drive selector, wireless charging and a 360-degree camera.
Kia appears to have paid attention to passenger comfort in the second and third rows. Dedicated AC vents are provided for both rows, while the third row gets Type-C charging ports and a 12V socket.
The boot area also gets an electronic tailgate, making it easier to access the luggage compartment. The Sorento is also expected to come with ADAS, although the exact features and functions will be confirmed at launch.
Kia Sorento: Expected Engine and Gearbox
The India-spec Sorento is expected to be offered with both diesel and hybrid powertrain options.
The model shown in the dealership video appears to be equipped with an 8-speed DCT gearbox, which is likely to be paired with a 2.2-litre diesel engine. This engine produces 200 bhp and 441 Nm of torque.
The SUV is also expected to get a 1.6-litre hybrid petrol engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. This powertrain develops 240 bhp and 380 Nm of torque.
Kia Sorento: Rivals
With the launch just around the corner, Kia is expected to reveal the full details, including variant-wise features, prices and specifications, shortly. The Sorento will give Kia a new offering in the premium three-row SUV space and is expected to appeal to buyers looking for a larger alternative to the brand's existing SUV lineup.
