Kia Sorento HTE: Base Variant with Plenty of Features
The HTE is the entry-level variant of the Sorento, but it does not feel stripped down on features. On the outside, it gets 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, roof rails and an integrated rear spoiler.
Inside, the HTE comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 4.2-inch colour TFT instrument display. Other features include a six-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone charging, Type-C USB ports across all three rows and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The front seats are also powered, with a 10-way adjustable driver's seat and a six-way powered front passenger seat. A panoramic sunroof is also offered on the base variant.
In terms of safety, the HTE gets a tyre-pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and multiple airbags. Cruise control and other basic electronic safety features are also standard.
Kia Sorento HTK
The HTK sits in the middle of the lineup and adds several features that make the Sorento feel more upmarket. It gets larger 19-inch alloy wheels and a curved display setup with twin 12.3-inch screens.
The audio system is upgraded to a 12-speaker Bose unit, while a 360-degree camera makes parking and manoeuvring easier. The HTK also gets ventilated front seats, an eight-way powered front passenger seat and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Buyers can also choose captain seats with the six-seat configuration, giving the cabin a more premium feel.
The HTK is also available with an optional HTK (A) package, which adds Level 2 ADAS features. These include forward collision warning and avoidance, lane keeping and lane following assistance, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic assistance and smart cruise control with stop-and-go.
There is also an HTK (A) Black Line version, which gets blacked-out exterior elements and black-finished alloy wheels for a sportier appearance.
Kia Sorento HTX AWD: Top-Spec Variant
The HTX is the range-topping Sorento variant and brings the most comprehensive feature list. It gets a dual-tone black-and-olive-brown interior along with dual 12.3-inch curved displays. Other premium features include a digital key, digital inside rear-view mirror, head-up display and built-in navigation. Kia's AI Assistant with real-time generative AI is also available.
The front seats get 10-way power adjustment and memory functions for the driver's seat and ORVMs. The HTX also offers front-row relaxation seats and ventilated second-row seats. Equipment such as a 220V power outlet, front and rear dashcams and remote smart parking assist further separates the HTX from the lower variants.
HTX Gets More Advanced ADAS and AWD
The biggest mechanical and technology upgrade comes with the HTX AWD. It gets an all-wheel-drive system along with Snow, Mud and Sand terrain modes, making it better suited to different road and surface conditions.
The variant also gets Level 2+ ADAS with 29 autonomous driving features. These include Highway Driving Assist, navigation-based smart cruise control, evasive steering assistance and additional lane-change assistance functions.
