KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track Unveiled; Limited to 100 Units Globally
Austrian automaker KTM has taken the wraps off its first ever track only motorcycle, i.e. the 1390 Super Duke RR Track. The 1390 Super Duke RR Track is developed exclusively for track use. The introduction of this model marks the first time that the Super Duke platform has been utilized for a non-road-legal, race-focused machine. Sharing this update the automaker revealed that the production of the KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track has been limited to 100 units globally. The automaker also shared that this model is scheduled to be offered via select KTM channels globally from May 2026.
KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track
The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track has been engineered to comply with FIM racetrack regulations. Unlike the road-legal Super Duke variants, this version removes all homologation equipment and focuses entirely on circuit performance. The motorcycle has been developed at KTM’s Mattighofen facility in Austria with a clear emphasis on weight reduction, aerodynamics and rider control.
The RR Track weighs 9 kg less than the road-legal 1390 Super Duke RR and around 20 kg less than the standard Super Duke R. Weight savings have been achieved through the use of carbon-fibre bodywork, forged magnesium wheels, titanium fasteners and a full titanium Akrapovic Evolution Line exhaust system.
The motorcycle also features a simplified electronics package aligned with its track-only purpose.
The bike is equipped with WP Pro Components suspension derived from MotoGP technology. Braking duties are handled by a superbike-spec Brembo setup, including GP4 MS monobloc calipers and T-Drive discs at the front. Michelin Power Performance slick tyres are standard, reinforcing its circuit-only application. Additional features include aerodynamic winglets for improved stability, as well as adjustable rider aids such as wheelie control and engine brake control through dedicated track ride modes.
KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track: Engine
The KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track houses a 1,350cc V-twin petrol engine which churns out around 193bhp to 200bhp depending on the conditions; and it generates a peak torque of 151Nm. The automaker claims that this motorcycle has a power-to-weight ratio exceeding 1:1, placing it among the most performance-focused production motorcycles from the brand. KTM has also outlined that the engine of this motorcycle is complemented by the redesigned ram-air intake system and a larger airbox to improve airflow at higher speeds.
KTM 1390 Super Duke RR Track: Design
KTM has redesigned the ergonomics of the 1390 Super Duke RR Track to better suit the track riding conditions. Some of these changes include - a lower handlebar position, a reshaped fuel tank designed to provide better support under braking, a single-seat layout mounted on a carbon-fibre undertray, with overall rider adjustability aimed at competitive circuit use.
