Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition in India: Top 5 Highlights

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition features a custom satin black exterior with alchemy gold-painted accents, special Batman decals, and a dark-themed interior with gold stitching. Unlike the Formula E Edition, which emphasizes motorsport aesthetics with orange highlights and racing-themed branding, the Batman Edition is inspired by the superhero and includes unique motifs. It was also initially limited to 300 units, later increased to 999 due to high demand.

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition shares its powertrain with the standard BE 6, featuring a 79 kWh battery pack and a rear-wheel-drive electric motor producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Both versions can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a claimed range of up to 500 km. However, the Formula E Edition includes additional performance features like a dedicated boost mode and regenerative braking systems.

The first 999 customers of the BE 6 Formula E Edition will receive exclusive benefits including a track day experience at the Mahindra Proving Track, a collector's box with Mahindra Racing memorabilia, and the option to choose special numbers for side-door decals. Additionally, three lucky customers will win tickets and paddock access for the London E-Prix, along with meet-and-greet opportunities with the Mahindra Racing team.

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition draws inspiration from Mahindra's active participation in the Formula E racing series, where it has recently seen success. The SUV has been showcased at events like the London E-Prix, marking it as the first Made-in-India electric SUV to run on a Formula E track. The BE 6 Formula E Edition is priced starting at Rs 23.69 lakh for the FE2 variant and Rs 24.49 lakh for the FE3 variant. In contrast, the Batman Edition was launched at a higher price of Rs 27.79 lakh. The Formula E Edition is positioned to be more accessible than the Batman Edition while still offering unique features and styling inspired by motorsports.
