Bajaj Auto is gearing up to introduce the next-generation Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in India on August 24. The two motorcycles have already started reaching dealerships, giving us a closer look at their new design and updated hardware. With a new platform, revised chassis and more modern features, the upcoming Pulsars are set to bring a major update to the popular range.
Key Highlights:
New Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 to launch on August 24- Both motorcycles get a new platform, frame and monoshock suspension
- Pulsar 150 expected to feature an oil-cooled new-generation engine
- Top variants likely to get a colour TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation
New Bajaj Pulsar Design
The new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 get a fresh design while retaining the styling cues that have made the Pulsar name familiar over the years. Images of the motorcycles at dealerships show a large headlight cowl, a muscular fuel tank and a sharp-looking tail section.
The overall design looks more modern and aggressive, but Bajaj has clearly kept the basic Pulsar identity intact. This should help the new models appeal to existing Pulsar buyers while attracting customers looking for a more contemporary motorcycle.
New Frame and Monoshock Suspension
The biggest changes are not limited to the design. The new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 are based on an all-new platform and feature a new frame.
The suspension setup includes a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. The new chassis and suspension setup could bring improvements in handling and ride quality compared to the outgoing motorcycles.
New Engines For Pulsar 125 and 150
Both motorcycles will also receive all-new engines. While Bajaj has not revealed the official specifications yet, the Pulsar 150 is confirmed to get an oil cooler.
This makes the engine update particularly interesting, as the new motor could deliver improved performance and refinement. The exact power and torque figures, along with the rpm at which they are produced, will be revealed closer to the launch.
TFT Display with Bluetooth and Navigation
The upcoming Pulsars are also expected to receive a significant technology upgrade. The top-spec versions of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 are likely to feature a colour TFT display.
The display is expected to support Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, bringing features that are becoming increasingly common in this segment. This could give the new Pulsars an advantage over some of their rivals.
New Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150: Expected Price
Bajaj Auto is expected to position the new Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 competitively in the Indian market. However, the company has not revealed their prices yet.
With the launch scheduled for August 24, more details about the engines, variants, features and prices are expected to emerge soon. The new Pulsar range will have to offer a strong combination of performance, features and pricing to stay competitive in today's 125cc and 150cc motorcycle segments.
