Nissan Gravite MPV India Launch Today: What to Expect
Nissan Motor India will introduce the Gravite MPV in the country today. The model was earlier planned to be unveiled on 21 January, but the event was postponed. Deliveries are expected to start in March.
Exterior Design
Available teasers and design sketches indicate proportions similar to the Renault Triber, with changes to set the model apart. The front is expected to include LED daytime running lights placed within the headlamp units and a grille with chrome elements. The vehicle name appears on the bonnet.
At the rear, the MPV is likely to feature split tail-lamps linked by a horizontal strip across the tailgate, with the badge placed at the centre. Other changes visible in teasers include different bumpers, alloy wheels and roof rails. Colour options confirmed by the company include teal, white, silver, black and grey.
Engine and Transmission
The Nissan Gravite is expected to use a 1.0L petrol engine, similar to the unit used in the Renault Triber. Transmission choices are likely to include a manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission. Nissan has not released detailed specifications.
Interior and Seating
Interior images have not been shared yet. The model is expected to come with three rows of seats. Features reported for the vehicle include a digital instrument display, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, push-button start, steering-mounted controls and air vents for rear passengers. The third row is expected to be removable to increase luggage space.
Safety Features
In terms of safety, the Nissan Gravite is likely to offer six airbags, anti-lock braking, traction control, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Final details are yet to be confirmed by the manufacturer.
