Tata Punch EV Facelift Deliveries Begin in India: Check Price, Power, Features and More

Indian automaker Tata Motors has commenced deliveries of the Tata Punch EV facelift in India. The Punch EV facelift was launched in India last month with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 9.69 lakh. Tata Motors is also offering this updated model with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership option. In this facelift Tata Motors has revised the design, battery configurations and equipment levels of the Punch EV.

The exterior of the Punch EV facelift receives changes to the front fascia, including a closed-off grille with body-coloured panels. The earlier black strip connecting the headlamps has been removed. The split headlamp setup continues, with connected LED DRLs and repositioned headlamp units. The bumper has also been redesigned.

In profile, the overall silhouette remains unchanged, while the SUV now features 16-inch alloy wheels with a revised pattern. At the rear, the Punch EV facelift adopts connected LED tail lamps similar to the ICE facelift, along with a redesigned bumper.

The model offers a ground clearance of 195 mm and a water-wading capacity of 450 mm. Tata lists the kerb weight at 1,360 kg.

Inside the cabin, the layout remains similar to the earlier model, with updates to trim and colour finishes. Higher variants are equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo continues.

Depending on the variant, the Punch EV facelift offers features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charging and connected car technology. A 360-degree camera is also available on higher trims.

Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.

The Punch EV facelift is offered with two battery packs: 30 kWh and 40 kWh. The 30 kWh battery delivers an ARAI-claimed range of 365 km, while the 40 kWh battery is rated at up to 468 km on the same cycle. Tata also states a C75 real-world range of up to 355 km for the larger battery pack. The 40 kWh variants are paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing up to 129 hp. The model continues to offer multiple drive modes and regenerative braking levels.

Charging options include 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC chargers. Using a 65 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 26 minutes. Tata is also offering a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner on select variants.

The Punch EV facelift is offered in six variants. Pricing starts at Rs 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom), with the BaaS option lowering the entry price to Rs 6.49 lakh, excluding the Rs 2.6 per kilometre battery subscription cost. With deliveries now underway, the updated Punch EV continues to expand Tata’s electric vehicle portfolio in the entry SUV segment.
