During demonstrations at CES, the voice assistant was activated using the wake phrase Violette. Once activated, riders could use voice commands to change riding modes, initiate navigation and access the motorcycle’s digital user manual. The system was shown responding to queries related to tyre pressure recommendations, service instructions and how-to guides.
Ultraviolette has stated that Violette is designed to reduce the need for riders to interact with the instrument cluster while riding. Features demonstrated included pre-ride system checks, access to ride data, service reminders and alerts, all delivered through voice interaction.
The voice assistant operates through an audio-integrated helmet, which acts as the communication interface between the rider and the motorcycle. This setup is intended to allow riders to receive information without taking their eyes off the road or their hands off the handlebars.
Violette is currently being previewed as a technology showcase, and Ultraviolette has not confirmed a timeline for its rollout on production models. The company, founded in 2016, continues to focus on software-led and connected features as part of its electric two-wheeler strategy, following recent developments such as the radar-equipped X-47.
